We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the marketplace, and information from third parties who help us operate the service.

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, password, and delivery addresses.
• Order information: items purchased, payment method type, order value, and delivery status.
• Payment information: processed by our licensed payment partners (Mobile Money operators, card processors). We do not store full card numbers or Mobile Money PINs on our servers.
• Device & usage information: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and general location, collected automatically when you use the site or app.
• Communications: messages you send to sellers, customer support, or through reviews and ratings.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account, and process orders and payments
• Provide order tracking, delivery updates, and customer support
• Personalize product recommendations and search results
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
• Send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates) and, where you've opted in, marketing offers
• Improve the marketplace through analytics and testing

3. Third-Party Sellers

Kuuza Connect is a marketplace: most items are listed and fulfilled by independent sellers, not by Kuuza Connect directly. When you place an order, we share the information needed to fulfill it — your name, delivery address, phone number, and order details — with the relevant seller and delivery partner. Sellers are contractually required to use this information only to fulfill your order and provide support, and may not use it for unrelated marketing without your separate consent.

4. Sharing Your Information

Beyond sellers and delivery partners, we share information with:

• Payment processors to complete Mobile Money, card, and bank transactions
• Service providers who support hosting, analytics, customer messaging, and fraud prevention on our behalf
• Legal & safety authorities where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of users

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or advertisers.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your cart, and understand how the marketplace is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect features like your saved bag or login session.

6. Data Security

We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and restricted access to customer records. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, download, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of marketing communications at any time.

• Update your name, contact details, and addresses anytime from Edit Profile
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any promotional message
• Request a copy or deletion of your account data by contacting support

8. Data Retention

We retain account and order information for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with tax, accounting, and consumer protection obligations — typically up to seven years after your last order, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

9. Children's Privacy

Kuuza Connect is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our marketplace evolves. We'll post the revised version here with an updated "Last updated" date, and where changes are significant, we'll notify you by email or in-app notice.
